Fallout S01E05: The Past Review

I liked this episode a lot - I think things picked up pace and story wise, with both Norm and Lucy's stories at least taking a solid step forward. I'm still not really invested in Maximus, but I like the characterization of him trying to be a good person but quickly becoming murderous if that doesn't work out, and I think this episode represents a real solidification of his role in the show that I feel was missing in previous episodes. Lucy's increasing frustration with the surface is fun, and I think that combined with her and Maximus getting captured by VaultTec at the end of the episode, plus all the vault stuff with Norm, is setting her up for a big reveal where she realizes how messed up and pointless the Vaults are (see her realizing Reclamation Day happened with her Vault), which would dovetail nicely with the Ghoul's pre-Bomb life being a Vault salesmen. I'm also finally getting into the Vaults 31, 32, and 33 intrigue with this episode, which is nice. Definitely a step up in quality from the last couple episodes.
