A solid episode, I enjoyed Trevor Belmont's introduction, he seems to straddle the line between apathetic rich boy and hyper competent hero well enough so far. The Speakers seem like they're stand-ins for the Romani people, but the show seems eager to sidestep any complications in their portrayal, with the narrative making it pretty clear about the existence of actual real magic as well as the Speakers rituals (though the vampires and demons probably should have been a bigger giveaway). Like the first episode, the animation quality seems to waver between impressive and kind of ugly looking depending at which point in the episode you were watching. Also the show seems pretty clear in having an antireligion (though in this context, primarily anti-Christian) message, and I’m curious where the "Dracula was in the right for what he did" idea might go further along in the series.
