The dream sequence at the beginning of the episode felt a bit pointless, but I guess you've got to get those “Christmas Carol” references in where you can when you're making a Christmas special. I liked Monarch Agent Tiny Joseph, that was a fun bit. The Krampus stuff was whatever, maybe fewer people knew about Krampus in 2004 then now and so the idea of an evil Santa Claus felt more unique? Likewise the "actually it was all a dream and we crash landed in Bethlehem" reveal was also only fine; I mean it's a 15 minute animated Christmas special, so this was probably the best you could ultimately expect, right?
