Bad and full of itself, an ever dull combo. The movie’s characters are introduced in seconds only to not do anything for the rest of the runtime. The betrayal at the end of the film lacks any bite as you haven't spent enough time with the treacherous character to feel anything at his double cross. The movie's pacing has no tension or sense of movement, and the decision to call the picture “Rebel Moon Part 1” seems more like bait to trick viewers into watching “Part 2” on the promise of something actually happening narratively in the sequel rather than splitting ahem Zack Snyder's “visionary epic space opera's narrative” out of any creative necessity.
I can't wait for the Extended Cut.
